I can't believe all the sour grapes being passed around in the Square Enix contest. I took a look at some of the art of the people who are griping and I think they're on crack. This was a contest of technical ability, creative implementation and being able to use inspiration boards as provided by the client.

We threw in the best of every type of entry, from digital, traditional, people, animal/monster, environment and let the client pick the final winners. At the end of the day they decided the winning entries. They had no concept of popularity, no concept of the drama that surrounded this contest. They judged based on what they were looking for, and they were working on the critique before we even got the list of finalists, they were so excited about it. For the people who griped about international contestants not being allowed to join, I'd like to remind them that *ShingoTM is from Brazil.

I'm *almost* worried about Okami, but I have faith that the winning entries would blow everyone away.

Seriously though, there's no rest for the wicked. We've got other things planned. Exciting things for the community. They're happening in the summer which means there's no rest for the wicked. This last month has been a learning experience though.

P.S. My journal is sad, because I neglect it so. I am on the hunt again for a new journal & new avatar. I am going to be tough, because I don't know what I want, I just know I want the best. I'll have a contest one day, but seriously, I'm all contested-out. If you want to create a custom journal for me tho, let me know.
